I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science at Sam Houston State University. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Houston in 2025 with specializations in American politics, political communication, and Latino politics. As a former journalist, my research primarily examines questions related to the media and politics, with a focus on the relationship between media and American political institutions. My work has been published in The American Political Science Review and Cambridge University Press.
